On a Saturday morning in March we held our annual Planning Session to review the results of the previous year and develop the Plan for the coming year. The meeting was followed by a nice dinner party that evening for Staff and Families.
The winter gathering was another fun event with good weather, great food, and a nice opportunity to visit. The Trivia Game was a smashing success again with Roger serving as our Master of Ceremonies, doing another amazing job supported by his able assistants Lynn and Roxanne. We also got to celebrate Lynn’s Ten year anniversary with Karlsson at the party.
We held our Eleventh Annual Karlsson Consulting Invitational Golf Tournament at the Minnesota Valley Country Club. Lee, Tom, Max, Bill and Loel were the winners of the Karl Horn Memorial Trophy.
At our Mid-Year Planning Session on a Saturday in September, we adjusted our plan for the year and began to plan for 2008.
The Saints game in early August was quite an “adventure”. The food and location were great, but the weather was typical Minnesotan: very hot and muggy, then thunderstorms and rain, then a cool late evening and night. The game was delayed for two hours because of the weather, and finally started at 9:00pm. The crowd thinned from that point with only a few hearty survivors making it to the end. Fittingly the game went into extra innings with a Saints loss in 11 innings by the score of 9 to 5. The game ended at 12:51am.
We held our annual Spring Picnic in May at Bush Lake Park in Bloomington. Everyone enjoyed great food, and visiting with other Karlsson Consultant Staff and families.
